Spiritus Equis – equine therapy logo and website design

Spiritus Equis – the spirit of horses – formed in 2014, and is a branch of Families Inc social enterprise. The team base is near Erlestoke, Wiltshire and offers equine assisted therapeutic approaches to help troubled children, young people and families. Spaced was tasked to come up with a strong image that belonged to the area of practice both geographically and in terms of use. The Wiltshire Uffington White Horse was a perfect starting point and the ancient hand-crafted feel was continued via the Corinthian typeface. Simple embossing effects maintained the dug-out feel of the landmark white horse.
However, client discussions revealed a certain discord with the ancient white horse and more autonomy was called for. They wanted their own ‘white horse’, so a more modern take was developed with livelier, more energetic horse. This new logo has been used in company clothing.

2016 update included an event ticketing service for automating workshop sales online. Event Tickets integrates with it’s sibling Events Calendar allowing easy search for upcoming events. WooCommerce is the chosen payment gateway.
